Just look, I saved my team and put the right hero but it didn't register

I had the same thing. Go into battle and try to see who is the sixth hero on that team, because it is there. Then go back to setup and place your new 6th hero on exactly the spot where that invisible hero was located when starting the battle. Save the new setup and it overrides the bugged one.
