Idk if I need a hanger for a jet and if so which would be the best, I am thinking about buying a Raiju

Yes, most jets in the game do require you to own a hanger.
Some jets like the laser and the hydra for example can be purchased without requiring a hanger because they were in the game before hangers were added, but they will be registered as a Pegasus vehicle if you want to personalize them and upgrade them, you have to have a hanger and have to drive the aircraft inside.
