Hi there!
I've been always having an issue with all versions where the carved bookshelves at certain facing directions would only display the wooden texture of the shelf
Is there a remedy or something I may be doing incorrectly that would fix this?

Thats a Mojang bug, nothing to fix it with this pack :( we need Mojang to fix it
