I've had lots of fun with it in mid game i think its really cool but idk if I should just stick with it and bring it to late game or use a different weapon

Personally I like buffing my weapons with resins/magic/pyro, so i tend to gravitate towards normal weapons, but boss weaps got sick L2 combos
