what are the best buffs and rings for ricard rapier?

status buffs work very well with its WA, so try using bleed resin or frozen weapon (status infusions are penalized by multihits so you should probably ignore them)

after that, you can go with whatever rings you want with a rapier (stat rings, flynn's, multihit, sword/shield, etc.)

at the end of the day, ricard's rapier doesn't have the estoc's range or normal rapier's criticals, so don't worry about being perfectly optimized

carthus rouge SLIGHTLY scales with luck and frostbite has no scaling so you just have to lock in

every poke from your WA will do either 20 bleed or 45 frost so that should be enough lol

and you can have a fire weapon to reset the frostbite

you can switch between bleed or frost depending on the boss's resistances

if you really want to force the build, you could use carthus beacon and stack it with the pontiff eye and old wolf sword

but you should have all you need already lol

it's just the pontiff eye effect but on a spell that only lasts for 30 seconds

so it kinda sucks unless you're stacking it

i made a build but i still got like 15 levels

what do i lvl

depends on what stats you already have

more vitality for defense and armor
more endurance to spam WA
strength to use shields, crossbows, greatbows, etc

i have 40 vigor, 18 att 40 end (its enough for a dex build), 15 vit to use elite knight set with havel ring, 40 dex, 15 int for frost weapon, 12 faith for carthus beacon

you can put more points into vit to replace Havel’s ring, then put the leftovers in either vigor or dex

other than that you’re good to go
