More vigor, then equip things to protect you from fire. The first phase, you dont' even have to fight, you can just run in big circles. The second phase, lighting resin ruins him bad. I was a pyromancer and for this battle none of that worked, I had to use melee. Took more tries than I would like, but got it eventually with a summon. Probably didn't need the summon after a lot of practice, but made it much easier.
