A: Depends on the context, but here are the general answers:
- PvE = Sellsword Twinblades; Broadsword if you would prefer a weapon that works well while 1-handing. Both Are optimal on a dex or dex/faith build. Q: Where is the best place to farm souls?
A: Generally speaking progression is the best way to get souls up until you reach the Grand Archives at which point the three Gold Winged Knights at the top are the most efficient way to farm. The Drakeblood Knight that is summoned at the Dragonkin Mausoleum is an alternative options with less running involved, but the rate of souls gained is less than half that of what you get with the previous suggestion.
Q: How can I get more embers?
A: You can farm them from some PvE enemies
- Black Knights (Greatsword) and Ringed Knights have the highest drop rate at 8%
- Black Knights with other weapons and Lothric Knights have a 5% drop rate.
You will also get an Ember for most successful online interaction with other players whether that be through coop or PvP. Go help each other out in #pc-white-sign, #psn-white-sign, and/or #xbox-white-sign!
