Not able to play in online mode | Dark Souls 3 | Page 1

I recently got the game on steam and want to be able to play with a friend of mine. However, every time I go into online, I only have a couple of minutes to play before I get booted out of online mode due to the framerate. However, I wasn't experiencing any lag during my limited playtime, and my connection was doing fine. I attempted to put the game on high priority as well, including lowering the graphics settings, but that didn't help.

Is there something else going on that I've over looked that could fix this?

I've been playing for a bit, and while it has been fluctuating between 49fps and 23 fps periodically, I think it's working
