consume it unless you like the hammer, there are better great hammers in the game and the ring from the soul is terrible

Unless he’s putting all his stats into strength he won’t be able to use it

Not to mention he needs a lot of stamina when attacking

that's 7 lvls assuming you've started as knight, for example

high stamina usage applies to practically all great hammers and shouldn't be reason not to use a weapon, or at least not the main reason
