Ive beaten Abyss watchers recently and i think i need to get better gear. Im still rocking the og staff(upgraded ofc) the starter cloak i believe and a shield that is a good one for my level. Im a ssorcerer and would like to know where to get that gear. (also this is my first playthrough so i dont think i can do something difficult for the gear)

most weapons are roughly on par with each other throughout the game, the best staff for lower int investment is Heretic's Staff which you may have already picked up
just wear whatever armor you like the look of that gets you as close to 70% equip load without going over
You can basically ignore the Preacher's Right Arm sections there as that is only marginally better and is in the DLC
the best shield is Black Knight Shield, which you can farm from the one near the Farron Keep Perimeter bonfire, but is a bit heavy and overall you're better off rolling rather than blocking
