Oh man I would love them to have sonething absolutely crazy like that you could randomly get notified of nearby enemies but tgere would be like a 20% chance of that being a false imformation! 😄
Yeah like
a way to use both the madness network and insanity would both be pretty good
but you gotta be careful
Even Apex didn't dare add in like a fear/stun effect (unless they did in the last few years? i havent played in awhile)
But in MOBAs they tend to make like fear/stuns like .5-1 seconds max for balances sake
But even THAT might be too much
Could always do something similar to Scholar's passive, just a way to track someone after you've seen them or something
But then it's matter of balancing that against Scholars 🤔
Yeah might bee too much... Since the 3 click in head kills you with a lot of weapons
Yeah, the thing about Malks is, in combat settings, they really excel as disabling the opponent, but in a game like this where fights can be decided in a matter of seconds, you risk making that stuff too powerful
They could have some ibvuscate spin off like masking like civilians tho...
I mean you can always shoot them and risk it 😄
True, they could have an obfuscate that allows them more freedom of movement/action in exchange for limited duration
A good way to balance vs Saboteur
And, of course, we always gotta consider what will be the "Clan" power and what will be the "Class" power/passive
Hi everybody! Since this thread implies "obviously crazy" ideas about Malkavians, I'd like to share my take on "Malkavian – Prophet" with you. I hope you'll enjoy this 🐱
Malkavian – Prophet

• Clan Power: Wheel of Fortune
Randomly apply one of the movement disciplines of the other clans (imposing some gameplay insanity on the player 🤯) . Thus, a player using Wheel of Fortune will suddenly jump like a Brujah, or dash like a Toreador, or become invisible like a Nosferatu, or levitate like a Tremere, or simply become invulnerable like a Ventrue. The Prophet player will never know beforehand which discipline will be applied the moment they use Wheel of Fortune. More experienced players with a good command of all the other clans and a quick reaction may gain significant advantage from this ability. Ability inspired by insanity derangements experienced by the Malkavians.
• Archetype Power: Malkav’s Curse
Mess up controls of all enemies close to the player for 1.5-2 seconds (imposing some gameplay insanity on the player’s enemies 😈 ). Thus, movement controls of the enemy should be shifted (left to right, forward to back and vice versa), clan/archetype powers should be swapped around, x- and y- mouse/controller axes should be inverted, jump and crouch should be working backwards, weapon switching and shortcuts for consumables should be acting randomly. Ability inspired by Dementation discipline of the Malkavians.
• Passive Power: Madness Network (alt. Malkavian Time)
“Heightened senses” ability additionally highlights all enemies within a mile around the Prophet player as if they are bloodhunted (i.e. even through walls and objects, unlike “Heightened senses” does by default). Ideally, every time “Heightened senses” highlights an enemy for the Prophet, the player should hear some distant voice recordings whispering something like “They are close” or “Hunt them down!” etc. Ability inspired by the “Cobweb” (the psychic link shared by all Malkavians).
