#Wired Latency Issues

After some while I've been trying to play SteamVR games but noticed this time that I've been getting wired latency issues.

The settings and the USB worked perfectly for me months ago, but now after coming back to VR I've been getting these issues.

I tried:

  • reinstalling ALVR
  • turning down Video res. in ALVR
  • reinstalling SteamVR
  • changing USB ports
  • switching to a nightly build

Currently downgrading some of my AMD drivers. I will come back here and mention if that fixes it.

Wow this is stupid. That actually fixed it.
I downgraded to version 25.10.2 since that's what Virtual Desktop recommended me cause it mentioned that the newer AMD drivers were buggy. No more auto-updates for me.

I will mark this as "resolved."

Before that, I would maybe do a full clean up of the drivers using DDU or AMD's own Cleanup Utility. You might have to re-install other drivers such as Chipset drivers and such again.
