#connection timed out, lag, box screen

I connect my quest 2 to ALVR as it connects to steamVR, the connection keeps timing out. if it doesnt time out then it is just very laggy and the screen isnt centered and is on the left side of my view and the screen is really box shaped

is it a internet problem? i am running no ethernet
ive swapped my pc to the 5ghz network from the 2.4ghz network and not much difference happened still had the same problem

im new to this and im js frustrated ive been trying to setup pcvr for several hours now

ive tried to mess with the settings following a yt vid but didnt work too no effect
