Hello all. Recently started playing with ALVR on Linux and i noticed that the colors are washed out compared to Steam Link, or VD.

#

Left is ALVR, Right is Steam Link.

nah it's off by default

#

also should i be worried about this? so far it seems like a false flag...

#

like off off, actually off.

#

I enabled it and that seems to have fixed things.

#

turned down sharpening tho

#

Disabled by default for me ( i don't know why )

#

how is that a problem

#

Can we get the option to disable them? Cuda here is the latest.

If I may chime in. Agree in the Steam lobby, colors are off, for me (Pico4U), what did the trick was to enable HDR and HDR color clamp, even 'tho' Pico4 isn't HDR ready by any means. Then black were black, and rest of the colors had no white haze you can see on the posted picture. IIRC it was noted before picking proper color profiles is a nightmare as each device needs it's own one.

Yeah i installed ALVR through the AUR.

#

apparently we don't need to download Cuda itself anymore, but to see if this works i'll download it, and report back to you.

#

no difference.

#

problem has been fixed by using a "ALVR-Nvidia" from the AUR...

#

no errors

#

now i'm seeing the old SteamVR menu...

#

Setting it to adaptive messes it up, seems to go lower than that number, very low.

#

Enabled here

previous test had it disabled

Probably due to constant 120Mbps, and not adaptive bitrate...?
