Just downloaded alvr and i'm getting this error when i try to boot steamvr that says "steamvr failed to initialize for unknown reasons. (Error: vrclient shared lib not found (102) (102)). It also spawns in random blank windows every time I try to load steamvr which annoyingly don't go away when i try to close them. Sorry if this question has already been answered but i already looked up the issue and consulted the faq so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

update your linux mint and make sure nvidia stuff is installed properly

#

mint is very bad for this

#

all those weird problems are probably because mint

#

there is no official way to setup nvidia for mint - you will need third party repos and stuff

#

ie get your codecs from some weird repo and run weird scripts

#

it can be made to work - but better to use something more modern that works better - hard to not say something arch-based like endeavour os or cachyos

i see

will probably just try to use my headset wired then or something]

drivers and codecs - if you dont have all this then nvidia will not work

granite nacelle
#

I mean i have the drivers n allat for gaming

#

Codecs

alvr uses the codecs to do video streaming, regular games will not

#

linux mint is your problem
