Yesterdav i have read that i should try ALVR as a substitute to quest link, which i tried with a cable.
In the statistics panel the dynamic bitrate goes to a maximum of 1000mbps.
Yesterday it worked reasonably well ober 1 hour without a stutter (still had some crashes but i played with the settings) and today I just wanted to play Dirt 2.0. I seemingly changed nothing but the problems startet to appear.
My three main problems are:
• I can connect everything just fine, start the game and get to the race an the moment the view switches from 2D to 3D i get one frame an everything freezes for 40s and then steamvr crashes without any reason. The log of ALVR says "session ended because of software host" or similiar
• after some crashes steamvr has the error 309 an essential component doesnt work please restart. I can restart steam vr, i can kill it with taskmanager nothing works. Only a restart of my laptop works.
• If i want to start steam vr with ALVR it doesnt start and it says its already running, which it isnt. Which again i can only fix by restarting my Computer.

I reinstalled everything at least twice now and it didnt fix anything. I have a laptop with a amd 6800h and an rtx 3070 ti

If anyone has any suggestions or follow up question i can answer them

I appreciate your help!

I don't have any help to give but if you mean you're using variable bitrate I'd ask if it works fine under constant (and low) bitrate. I can say I've played a few minutes of Dirt 2 with ALVR, a quest 3... ehhh. maybe I'm misremembering and it crashed, not sure, but I did play for a while
