#Headset cycles connected and disconnected, headset eventually freezes

Arch linux, meta quest 3s, using launcher, 20.12.0 on both desktop and headset

I added the device manually, ALVR was able to find it. Once steamVR is launched, the device cycles through streaming, disconnecting and disconnected.
Steam VR seems to see the device, but says its not tracking
ALVR on the headset shows Streamer has disconnected, then seems to flash a connected message for a few frames, then goes back to Streamer has disconnected
