ALVR Not connecting to PhoneVR app?

Hey guys, Ive installed ALVR on my laptop and the phone vr app on my phone. I have given all the firewall stuff on the laptop, but I still cannot join the server on my phone. I put in the hostname and IP all correct on the laptop, but It says Unknown IP and there is no option to connect, only edit and remove. Any help? Thanks in advance!

After a bit of tinkering I was able to get my phone connected, but all that was displayed was flashing colors that changed when I moved the phone around

And when I laucnched a vr game the accelerometer seemed to be working, but nothing was visible on the phone.
