#Could not initiate connection for xxxx.client.alvr: connection timed out and Unknown IP

Windows 10, Quest 2, Desktop,

This is my first time using ALVR because airlink and (surprisingly) steamlink also won't detect my quest from my PC, and vice versa. When I boot up ALVR on my quest, my PC detects the client fine, but it shows it as "Unknown IP" and won't connect.

Whenever it automatically tries to connect, it gives me this error: Could not initiate connection for 8093.client.alvr: connection timed out.

I've tried manually adding the IP address the quest app shows me but nothing changes.

Having the same issue on multiple computers. W11/W10 Quest 3. Ping test works. VR seems to work on a different network

Pretty sure it is a router issue but I have a 5GHz modern modem 802.11AX 160MHz. Neither wired or wireless pc network connections work

The pc and quest need to be on the same network I think, how exactly is your network setup?
