#Does anyone know how to install the pro micro 2040?

the controller...
do all the pins sit inside the mcu?
cause he nice nano had two holes open for the battery (b+, b-)
That isn't a nice!nano controller though. It is a wired RP2040 controller.
correct
so do i still leave the top two holes open
?
i think im supposed to
if i fit all the pins into the board holes
Bastardkb server might be the appropriate place to inquire, because this is a ZMK server
the top two holes are left open like the nice nano
oh
they dont respond over there
That doesn't really mean that a non-related server would be the right place to ask though. FWIW, pro micro footprint has 2 GND on one edge, and 1 GND on the other edge. Aligning these would be your best guidance. Otherwise, you can exercise patience on the bastardkb server.
what do you mean by ground?
i see two grounds on the left side of the board
and one on the other site
side
how does that help me in regards to knowing if i should leave the top two pins exposed within a pin through it?

Aligning the GND pins on controller, with GND pins on the PCB helps you with this question. It applies to all PCBs designed to support the pro micro controller.
2 GND on one edge, and 1 GND on the other edge
Because of this fact, paying attention to them will avoid installing the controller upside down
it hard no markings
That is why we recommend seeking support at the vendor's discord server, who will be more familiar with the hardware. Otherwise, a multi-meter will also help with this matter.
I believe that bastardkb has some video tutorials where he puts together some keyboards
Might apply here
how does that help me know which side should be up?
Because if you align the controller's 2 GND pin edge on the PCB side with 1 GND, it will be "wrong"
i didnt buy it from bastardkb its an open source kit loool

But you are still on the wrong server. BastardKB server is still the right place to inquire given their hardware knowledge about the PCB, yes?
true true
last q
do you know how i can find the ground on the pcb?
i have a multimeter
do i check for continuity?
Yes, all GND pin will be shorted together
@long minnow last q i swear
how can i know what pins do what on a microcontroller
and where can i find guides on the specific microcontroller...
i googled and i cant find the ones for mine
what pins do what on a microcontroller
I don't know what this question means. I don't think it is relevant to BKB's PCB. You should be patient on BKB server. Replies are volunteered and not an entitlement.
Did i say it's an entitlement?
Let’s not get argumentative please
I'm trying not to but it doesn't help when someone responds like that.
