nice!nano Controller and Peripheral not pairing

I can't seem to get the two halves of my Sofle to pair. I'm running nice!nano v2s. I've done the reset procedure many times and I still have the same problem. I'm using USB, not Bluetooth, to connect to the host. The repo is here:

Attached are the logs from the left and right half. On the displays, the right half will briefly show a checkmark, then change to an X, then repeat. It seems to connect briefly and then disconnect repeatedly.

There are a handful of errors and warnings in the log, but I'm not sure what would cause them. This one in particular stood out:

Security failed: E4:33:1E:82:1C:86 (random)

Any help or pointers in the right direction would be appreciated!

You mean pair 2 halfs together?

I am using "wired" as well. It worked after connecting both to usb and clicking reset on both. Do you have oleds?
