I have Samsung 4K 50 inch TV, I want to install ambilight for this. My issue is I use apps from Samsung installed app like YT, Netflix, Prime . Can 4k video capture card used here?

If you have an Android TV there is side load apps you can use but then DRM content doesn't work always

Or you can go the route above, or you can point a camera at your TV and do it that way

Camera can be mounted below the TV if you wanted to explore that route, behind a soundbar or similar. Harder to hide if the TV is wall mounted though.
