#Using external thermometer for radiator thermostat control

As the title says I'm looking for a way to take the temperature from an external thermometer and use it as an input signal to regulate a water-based radiator via a smart thermostat.
It looks like there is no vanilla way to address this issue. Am I missing something?

Yeah thermostat integration is the way!

I already found this integration, but it want's a switch for controlling the heat, while I have a smart radiator thermostat that opens the valve depending on the target temperature.
Is it still possible to use it?
