Ok, well, here's the first of my posts regarding my new Voron 2.4r2 that I ordered. I'm not sure if anyone here has one (or any Voron) so I thought I'd post my thoughts and any tips I might come up with here.

To start with, I got the 350mm kit from LDO Motors by way of MatterHackers. The Voron discord channel indicated it was probably the current best pre-sourced kits, so I picked one up. I also ordered the PIF (print it forward) kit including the extra accent bits. I have to say, if my printer prints even half as well as the ones I got from the PIF program (that were printed on a Voron 2.4) I'll be happy.

The documentation is almost 300 pages, with extra documents for the mods that came with it. The StealthBurner/ClockWork2 extruder, and others. So far, the design and thought that went into the printer is very impressive. When the kit gets here, I'll start throwing it together and add more to this post, including possibly some pictures.

Sure. I plan on posting updates as I go through the build process. First post was more or less a summary. This post is about the Print it Forward program that Voron Design has in place.

For those that don't know, Voron design started as one guy's attempt to make a home based, "no-compromise" that took over a year to optimize. Some of the design tenets were that anyone should be able to take the bill of materials (provided for free) and go make their own Voron printer. The plans include a number of fairly complex ABS parts. Some folks (like myself) that wanted a Voron couldn't print ABS due to limitations with my existing printer.

Enter the PIF. Some Voron owners will print the required parts (and offer to print the extra accent parts) for a nominal fee plus shipping for those that desire that. Most offer a range of colors and can customize your PIF order to match the addons you might have selected. I got mine after about a 2-week wait. They look AMAZING - far better than I could ever have printed on my Ender 3. I would not hesitate to recommend the service. When 2 of the parts I got showed errors due to layer shifting I got replacements in less than a week, for free. I hope my printer prints half as good as the parts I got from my provider.
