For the first time in Cyberpunk 2077, experience what are the conseguences of installing cyberware in your body and what really means to be a Cyberpsycho.
HOW IT WILL WORKS
- Everytime V installs for the first time a cyberware he/she will have to use immunosuppressors to permit his/her body to adapt to the new cyberware, if not he/she will gradually buildup a certain Cyberpsychosis percentual value that with time will have conseguences on the gameplay.
- The more cyberwares V has on his/her body the more the Cyberpsychosis percentual will fill. V can decide to use immunosuppressors to empty this bar, but he/she'll not be safe from the risk as the bar will gradually fill with time.
- When V reaches Cyberpsychosis the screen will began to glitch and V will receive a buff in stats, but also will have a constant full wanted level on him/her. This mod will also cooperate with Vehicle Combat so you can decide from a menu to automatically make the peds to call the cops on you. (so it's more immersive).
- Cyberpsychosis can be momentarily stopped and you will return to normal, but you will have to buy a very expensive immunosuppressor from the ripperdocs.
- V will automatically shoots at peds without the player control while in Cyberpsychosis (like sometimes Skippy's is used to do)
- While in Cyberpsychosis status, if V has a Threat Detector mod installed on the Kiroshi cyberware he/she will see the peds highlighted as enemies.

I'm not sure how possible this would be, but I think it'd be cool if you could somehow make V hallucinate i.e make normal civilians look like enemies. Then after you murder a bunch of "baddies" to only realize you killed innocents.
And another recommendation. I think it'd be pretty sweet to lose dialogue options, like the ones where you can talk people out of things, if you are too wacked out with Cyberpsychosis

like if we think about psychosis could be cool to hear or see stuff isn't there could be npcs appearing and dissappearing, Johnny's voice, even Jake's voice, but idk if is possible to trigger those different sounds/Npcs appearing (one example AAM, CyberScript)

As for the NPC appearing and disappearing, could be cool, if integrated with a glitch effect when they appear/disappear if not they could be mistaken as game glitches or bugs.
However the full development will begin when Scissors will be able to return.
Modders really doing the job the devs can't
Ultraviolence please.. i was thinking yesterday about this and remove the protection for firing at trauma team etc. Just not like in the 1.03 .06 days anymore.. plus i miss all the offensive junk that was everywhere. Cig packs dilds etc

please don't say that, at least the (non toxic) majority of modders love this game and support the devs, modding is not a war against the devs of the game. will not keep this convo here on this showcase.

My idea of cyberpsychosis mod was pretty simple but i have absolutely zero knowledge on how to code, so i hope this will help lol
- The mod checks how much cyberware are currently installed (the more of this the more multiplier added for cyberpsychosis chance)
- The mod will now check the chance % of cyberpsychosis
- When cyberpsychosis happens, we get massive stats buff, we will also get constant health decrease by 5 or 10 each seconds, killing anything heals you 25 or 50 HP, until you use the immunosupressors to keep it off (it should be expensive)
let's stop this rethoric, devs made the whole game from scratch not just some mods
Yes, it will work exactly like that. Every cyberware installed or used will increase the chance of becoming a Cyberpsycho by increasing how fast the bar fills.
It was not devs fault, it was the management of CDPR that lead to that disastrous launch.
Yeah, if remember correctly the devs warned that the game needed a whole 1/2 years more of development and polish, but you know money talks and money pressure is hard to manage sometimes
Actually I think that the current year is where the game could have been ready to launch.
If you think, in the current state, the game only needs features like cyberwares that could be shown in your body, a proper police system (patch 1.7), car tuning, more quests and I think the game would be in a very good state.
Even so maybe even just next patch the game is at its base fleshed out

Car tuning, both visually and performance wise was a wish i had since 2012, and they even hinted at that before the game launch, in the discussions and promotions
But i doubt it will ever happen

I was really really hoping that other cyberware we installed would have those sequences with the Ripper
I would have love it too and I believe CDPR also but one must think about the economy of producing these sequences, maybe it was not worth the cost and resources put to it considering the game barely made it to release

No, I mean that for every new cyberware that have an influence on the aspect of the character there would be a cutscene, for example Sandevistan, Gorilla Arms, Mantis Blade and so on..
One other thing beside no shooting prevention , this game needs way way more BD clips

nowhere did I accuse the devs of being the reason for the missing features of this game, however, CDPRs release of redmod is undoubetdly because they want modders like you to add features that should've been there at the start and more. Its very much a betheseda move.
well it could be or could be not, at the end of the day it's a promised they made and maintained. Also they did the same with Witcher games if I am not mistaken, so there is continuity from their part on this, not something they just pulled off out of the blue. At the end of the day they know that there are people that likes to mod games. I see it as a way to let people enjoy what they like. I don't think modders mod the games because they are somehow upset developers didn't do this thing or that thing , they just want create to their own liking.
Modders don't play the game just sayin 
CDPR forums where full of people asking for "mod tools" for a whole year. They put on the table what crowd asked them for.
Features that should be there... maybe? some stuff i can count with my hands, QoL improvements, fun stuff like flying cars, metro, crowd scanner, the gang traits mod... all those stuff added by modders before RedMod 
Also modding at this right moment is only for PC users.
The game at the moment is on a really good state. and about other features... well lets say a modder can add a car on a sausage shape and it's ok but stuff added to a product need to be consistent with lot of stuff: lore, the world, mechanics, dynamics etc...
imo CDPR are doing damage control and basically doing everything their consumers want. Not only was the game released a mess, they straight up lied about its state and were bragging about how many pre orders they got for it. If they kept along that same vein and didnt continue updating and adding mod support their reputation would plummet even lower then it already is. It would have an exponentially large impact on sales for all their further games. Far more than they're already likely to experience

Sure we all remember launch cyberpunk 2077. Cdpr got a lot of flak for sure. As of now that is the past and we can see that they have indeed kept to updating the game to a better state, and that what ultimately in the end people are happy about. So we shouldn't always just be dwelling on the past, or we would never move on or evolve in lives.

Is a working metro actually possible with mods? I have no clue what the limitations are with the tools they’ve released. The Witcher 3 mods always seemed lackluster compared to Skyrim’s or GTAV’s
Imma make it simple, you werent there when they developed the game, youre not part of CDPR so all you do i speculating about what CDPR did and what their intentions were without really knowing what was going on behind the scenes and that is unnecessary
As for the Cyberpsychosis mod i was thinking about that so many times, to depend on consumables in CP and this sounds really interesting

the use of consumables sounds good but when I played the game I remember the consumables were the most annoying thing actually, from the ui interface which sucks not even a way to filter by drink/food/drugs to the lacks of hotkeys where one could bind specific consumables. it always felt cumbersome to me and using them takes you away from the world or action of the moment

If not the absolutely amazing Victor installing the eye sequence, at least siting into the ripper chair, fade to black, passage of time and then the regular medicine forcing you to wait, effectively slowing you down before going full cyborg. So reading what you have planned sounds great.
There is already a Metro Mod.
There is a mod for the hotkeys and you can switch consumables with the quick wheel.
This mod sound really cool, do you have a release date ?
The consumables never felt useful
I'd really like to see cyberpsycosis caused not through the instal of implants, but rather the over use of them.
That way people have to consider how they'll handle a fight rather than just going "sandy mode go brrrr"
TDO kind of adresses it as much as possible with sandy and the damage over time. Which paired with toxicity mod seems to help pare down on that

on topic, would this mod be compatible with others that affect similar stats?
Rather than have consumables that you have to use constantly. It would make more sense to a visit to a docripper to fix my cyberpsychosis problems if I have overused my implants once things get unmanageable with just meds. This fix is a med term solution and should have a long lasting debuff of sort anyway.
Make cyberpsychosis only be caused by some implants not all, have cyberpsychosis reduce overtime when you dont use them.
As consumables go, have the Immunosuppressant to function as cyberpsychosis dampener (a % reduction of cyberpsychosis rate increase everytime you use an implant) that have a long lasting duration (e.g. 6/12 hours) with diminishing returns that resets only when you fix the problem at the docripper for the medium term.
Maybe add some elite implant that would autoinject a kind of military grade Immunosuppressant (you cant inject them manually), that not only function as the normal immunosuppressant (cyberspycho rate dampener) and with shorter duration (e.g. 1 hour) but also with positive effects associated to it (eg temporary extra HP). Stacking their use (when the previous effect is still active) because you want that buff again though will only make things worst and will simply make you go to the docripper earlier with even shittier debuffs.
A gameplay based on heavy implant use should make you an addicted junk constantly on the verge of going nut for good.
Morale of the story:
Avoid consumables that 1) takes you out of the action constantly, 2) represent a money sink into an already shitty economy where you can't buy anything because it's all expensive 3) you add just another button to push or menu to visit
Take all this stuff as a proto idea, from which you can derive some good design decisions.
I have to say, I'll be impressed if someone actually makes a fun cyberpsychosis mod. I'm sure the devs considered adding a mechanic for it in the game, but they probably decided against it because it would be too much of a pain for the player and wouldn't really be fun to play

yeah the effect looks sick. my concern is that cyberpsychosis happens randomly, and this lack of player agency is usually not fun to deal with. it would be awesome when it happens at the perfect time though

I mean you can somewhat control it by just not maintaining the meter

yeah, it is this part of cyberpsychosis that is problematic to translate to an action game in a fun way imo, and is why I think CDPR didn't put it in the game. but I could be wrong, and i would be impressed to see a fun cyberpsychosis mod 👍

I totally respect your current roadmap but incidentally I was just thinking about how a system like this could work too. Heavy Damage over Time mixed with heal on kills is actually a really elegant way to get player to play like a psycho. Could also add destroyed cars to the list of things that heal you for extra mayhem. It also would make it suck less when it happened.
Are there any plans to make using cyberware effect the progression of cyberpsycosis? Like maybe using a sandevistan fills the bar x%, doing damage with mantis blades does x points, applying a quick hack adds x points etc. I could see how this would be annoying to some people, but I would like the challenge and immersion. I also think it would be better if filling out the psychosis bar wouldn't immediately trigger psychosis, but would instead start a timer. Anytime that timer reached 0 there would be a % chance you got psychosis based on level of modifications. If you rolled good, the timer starts over, but the bar stays filled. Along with that, anytime you used a cyberware after the bar reached max there would be a chance of psychosis. So after the bar is filled, using your mantis blades, quick hacks, sandevistans all have a high chance of causing psychosis.
Also, I think it would be a good idea to link how bug the psycho bar is to a player stat or perks. Not sure which one, but you should be able to build V to withstand psychosis more if you want to give up power elsewhere.
Lastly, psychosis would make smart weapons just lock onto whoever is closest friend, enemy, or civilian.
Would stats like cool, intel affect your cyberpsychosis? Or will you keep it simple(while having a stat to affect it would another layer to this, I can see it being tricky, but I don’t know how to code lol)
