because the ideas he wrote weren't new for me, so in that regard i didn't learn alot, plus the main down point is his writing style, too focused on the status output of productivity and so damn condescending

well he sure makes a good point to why deep work is important and how productivity is not that shallow "busy" outward, but i honestly think Cal Newport just tried to fill pages at some point, to make it more of a book length and not a detailed blogpost (which probably would've been better in my opinion)
