Unable to start a Co-op game

Hey all, my other half and I purchased this game recently on Steam, and we can't seem to get the Co-op function to work.

We'll invite the other to play, click the join button, and then we are both left in a lobby screen almost in limbo. It still says waiting in both the Player one and Player Two box, and no button we press allows us to ready up. an option to ready up doesn't appear at all. The only function we can perform in that lobby is to either change the region I believe or leave. It's getting a little frustrating trying to figure this out, we only want to play the game together, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Walter, thanks for the reply, will this permanently be an issue with our copies of the game until it is fixed? Or is there a workaround for now? Does this game receive patches frequently or could it be quite some time until a fix is found? looking forward to enjoying your game all the best

Soz just seen the 2nd paragraph, I can attempt to send a file, I'm not the most tech savvy, how do I go about doing that? It's happened each time we've tried so far

We do frequent updates on steam fixing issues like this. So expect the next patch announcement for when it's fixed or we'll try to check with you about it.

It's less that an error message appears, and moreso that we get to the lobby and are unable to do or press anything to get further, I can send a screenshot of where we keep getting stuck

Ahhh ok awesome, we couldn't find anything on Google when we got stuck and got a little worried.

It's just attaching the log file to the discord message, no need to close the game or anything to send the log

There is a "workaround" so you can still play online meanwhile we sort this out.
And would be using Steam Remote Play Together #ak-together-test message

It uses the local co-op but can be used as an online using this steam feature.

Ahh ok awesome, I've followed the link and had a little read about how to make a bug report from my phone, I'll hop on the PC in a bit and see if I can run through the steps in a sec.

For the workaround option I'll see if that works a bit later when we're both about, another odd thing that was happening was that I was unable to access my friends list to send invites as the host, it came up in red text in the lobby screen, I'll try and get a picture of that too. Tldr she had to do the inviting each time.

When it comes to retrieving the log, I'll try and just leave the game up and running whilst performing that step, it's occuring in the lobby so I don't think there's a pause option at that stage, we pressed a lot of buttons and couldn't get anything to happen

No worries, the log can be retrieved even without pausing.
It's like a notepad that is being on constant writing so there is no isues if the game is still running while you put it on the discord.

Awesome, I'll try and re-create the bug/issue for the 4th time when my other half gets back from work later, I've logged onto the game for now on my own and everything seems fine so far.

the three times we had attemted together beforehand we would get stuck at this screen, with both poxes saying waiting... forever, and no matter what we pressed we couldn't progress. Each time I also had red text saying something like 'unable to retrieve friends list' instead of that 'Q Invite friend' option, so that's already a plus that that message isn't there again ^_^
