Hey @storm walrus, thank you for contributing to this forum.

The ALISHA board is typically the one you want for a helmet. https://www.ebay.com/itm/405950872555?itmmeta=01K7F2V3ETNVP9H44R2AV97KYC&hash=item5e848ebbeb:g:N6kAAOSwh7pmYGx8
The board can be powered with a mini-USB connected to the top-left side of the board or using the "Power-in" connection on the top-left side of the board with the included 2-pin wired connector. If using the "PENELOPE" board with the ALISHA board, connect the "Power out" from "PENELOPE" to the 2-pin "Power In" on the board.
There's also the ALISHA MINI if you're just powering a helmet and not a full suit https://www.ebay.com/itm/405305643528?itmmeta=01K7F2V3ET2SKSC56H0YBKGF38&hash=item5e5e195208:g:gCIAAOSwtM5lzlbD
I am also new to masks how do I make it open and close?
What mask are you trying to motorize?
I’ll take a look
How do I know what part does what. Descriptions suck on my files app
Also does this use mg90s
SO here's where you might have some trouble. Yes, it uses MG90s, but you have to do a LOT of work currently to motorize a halmet that doesn't have the motorization pegs built-in.
The good news is that walsh is currently working on an all-in-one, no pegs required update to his motorization kit, which will hopefully be released soon. I'd follow him on IG to keep up to date with its progress, as that one just gets installed onto the widows peak, then the arms just attach to the faceplate.
So like the inside of the faceplate I have here has this peg where some of the arms that do the motorization connect. The concept of motorizing using this system is built into almost all helmets nowadays made by the wf3d folks or their friends. It’s just standardized. Yes, the kit I linked to you does have separate pegs and mounts that you can print and try to glue into your helmet, but honestly if you just wait until he releases the updated version it’ll be a LOT easier and less frustrating. Trust me, I’ve tried to do it before the pegs were standard and it nearly broke me.
Ok cool
Also I need eye lights that will fit in the Alisha motherboard thing so the turn off when the mask opens and on when it closes. Any suggestions

So these are the eyes
But you have to add the connectors yourself. They are JST-XH ports, so it's relatively easy

This is the pins and the connectors

And this is the crimper you use to attach the pins to the ends of the wires.

I will admit it's annoying to have to attach the connectors yourself, but learning to crimp and add connectors is easy enough that a dope like me can do it.
Which connector would I need?
jst-xh
I don't understand the question. The connector set I linked has 2,3,4, and 5 pin connectors in it.
Those are just the number of pins...that number is determined by the amount of wires/connection you need per device
Generally most servos are 3 pin (power in, gr, signal), and "dumb" leds can be 2 -4 depending on if static color or rgb
Ohhh ok. Sorry I’m new to electronics in masks. If you can’t tell this is my first mask and I have no experience
the LED cosplay eyes just have power + and -
Seeing as you also posted another thread with this info, but do you have a crashworks board already that you are working with? Or going off a nano?
The crashworks boards generally come with all the wires + connections you would need to do a basic helm wire up
It shipping from eBay now
Ive had nothing but bad luck with that motor brand for the helmets
Is there a video on how to assemble
I watched Frankly builts video but I had none of the part she had
@deft elbow do I just print a new mask?
Why would you do that?
Frank' early vid does seem to have that exact kit though as well?

Where did you get the files for the motorization arms/bracket/etc from?
There is a pdf with instructions in that download link as well for that mk 7 kit
You may have to dig around to find an exact vid for that exact model type...but the principle to motorzing the helms is pretty much the same for all models
Could also check out darkwing's vid on it as well
Ok
I didn’t see it
