I’m printing Walsh’s mk 85 iron man suit and am post processing the hands and fingers right now. I’m stuck on how to sand and spray paint them. What’s the best way to sand something that is super detailed and/or really small? And what’s the best way to spray paint the fingers? I did a test for both and they turned out poorly.

Hey @boreal gale, thank you for contributing to this forum.

Sanding wise use emery boards /nail files for most, then use sanding sponges to get in the small spaces,. Clean and then use a filler primer or spray putty and do a light coat, as this can build up quickly and lose the detail, but if you get it right the remaining layer lines will be hardly visible.
I would get some wooden stick, or pencils etc and hot glue the pieces making them easier to sand and paint, then when done the hot glue should be easy to release, if not a swab of rubbing alcohol will release it.
Good luck
Thank you!
