Hey I am a little frustrated because I got myself a refurbished Creativity K1 Max and it all seamed good at first. But the self check is a catastrophy. It made 2 scratches and the sound it does is horrible! It crashes against all walls all the time and it just looks like it does not work. I turned it of tried it again and then turned it of again.

Can someone tell me what the problem is?
Is it easily fixable or should I return it?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the late answer. Today I was able to skip the self check by creating a file called debugmode_JumpSelftest in the USB Stick. So I was able to get to the menu and tested this.
Yes, it was able to home itself with no problems.

Interestingly it homed diffrent when I chose home XY and Home Z.
What I mean with that is that home XY placed the print head in the fron right and home Z placed the print head in the rear left (and the bed up of course). But this is probably be normal

hmm

#

z should be the middle of the print bed

#

if you manually move the printhead via the printers meneu does it move the correct distance?

it actually does! Which makes it even more confusing. I thought that it could be a software problem. Maybe the printer thinks the bed is bigger than it is

it can be overwritten with gcode but that doesnt happen on accident

hmmm what can happen is that you check the printer settings in your slicer if you selected the worng point of origin
