Get yellow frog tape
Are you looking for thicker masking tape like 2 inch and 3/4 inch or fine line?
I know people like this but I generally do not really. It is meant for painting houses, I would rather go with tape for automotive application
To his/her own I would say. Some people have great success with it, some people have issues.
I've never tried automotive masking tape but obviously being it's meant for cars and such then it's probably still a better choice than regular blue tape
It’s the closest application for painting props
It’s the same process
both actually
I have great relations and really stand behind the company indasa for my tapes, they are some of the best on the market
mainly want a tape that is good for lines and good adhesion
They have both
ill give it try both yellow frog and indasa
Let me know how it goes
will do
Wait one last quick thing, the indasa tapes are pressure activated, make sure that you have them firmly pressed down with like a credit card to eliminate bleed through
another way is using liquid mask. cheapest way to achieve that: liquid latex, just paint the latex on the part that must not change color and spray your paint. and when the paint is cured, you can just tearoff the latex
hmm idk that technique ill try it out
did not know that was a thing should come in handdy for any smaller detail prints
And i was wonder how to prevent the colour from flowing through gaps in layer lines guess i know now 😄
@flat storm your welcome my friend 😀
as an automotive painter for 25 plus years...i would suggest 3m blue fineline for straightest lines....and 3m masking tape ....less bleeding and much finer edges....
also...i dont know how many people here do airbrush....but Bitty designs makes an awesome Liquid Mask that is amazing when doing large curved areas....brush it on...let dry....use a new blade to cut out design and paint....kinda the same as letting school glue dry on your hand and peeling it off.....works great
Ayyee found another one finally
I am not 25 years experienced but I am an automotive painter
I prefer the indasa fine-lines or vinyl honestly for the crispest lines
FOR DEMOCRACY
