I bought the files as soon as they were released and started printing and after printing the top dome realized it was massive. I messaged them and they said its meant to have padding on the inside, but like despite that itll look huge on my body. Was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. In the image you can see through the eye lens, thats my chin

Did you not scale the helmet?
You can't just assume that the base file is going to fit you. You almost always have to scale it on the computer to fit your head.
I scaled it with a test piece that was included with the files and that test piece fit over my head perfectly. Even with the helmet assembled the bottom portion slides over my head nicely its the dome piece that feels too big
So when you scaled the test piece and printed it till it fit, did you make sure to then scale the helmet to the exact same percentage as the test piece?
The test piece fit me at its default scale and I made sure the test piece was the same size as the rest of the helmet so theyre scaled to each other correctly
As long as you didn't change the size of the helmet, then more than likely that test piece and the helmet are the same scale.
You have to do some scaling and testing of your own to find the best scale. I would suggest watching franks video about scaling helmets if you haven't
