#printer is under extruding after some space

i'm having some trouble with this, my printer under extrudes after not continuously extruding filament. if anyone knows the fix for this that would be great, or even the correct name of the problem so i can look it up myself

Just that specific model, all models? What kind of filament? Does it do this with all filaments? Wet filament? What kind of printer? when is the last time you did an extrusion calibration? Have you tried adjusting flow? Also have you adjusted your retraction settings or done a retraction calibration? Need the details my friend 😉

multiple models have the same problem, i tried different filament and it did the same thing

What kind of printer? Make model?

I dont know if I can post links, but the video I used a while ago for my CR-10 was by "Tomb of 3d Printed Horrors" . You might also want to look into Extrusion rate. Another off the wall question, how old is your nozzle? You could have a clog, have you done a cold pull or used a needle to clean the nozzle? Does your heating element provide constant temperature? I have had issues like this in the past because of a bad thermistor and heat block, it would drop temp on large movements and cause issues like this. Is your extruder gear clean and have proper tension? I have had issuse with both of those in the past too
