#hot end blob clog

Just came home and found my 3d printer moving around a giant blob of pla so i cleaned off the build plate a inspected the hot end to see this mess. Pla is deep inside. Is there anything i can do salavge this, can a heat gun help me in this situation?

Yes, try heating the hotend first and slowly remove the blobs with a plier. Get everything that you can. You can use a heatgun to soften the blob aswell but be careful not to melt thr plastic shroud

After you clean it, you will need to figure ojr what causes the blob

It was a print that lost its adhesion to the print bed and it got caught on the hot end and just kept spewing plastic still.

what is that light blue thing, is that a plastic housing for the hotend? if so that is probably damaged because of the melted plastic

Elegoo for instance says in their documentation: never leave a printer unattended for hours on end.
