The screw that holds the hotend in place? (Dont know how that looks) Honestly i would just do the slot thing. So you can use a flat head.
Someone else May have a better idea.

a left hand drill bit the correct size plus an extractor would be easiest outside of the rotary tool. the benefit of the left hand drill bit is it may just remove it for you
