Hi, recently I've found the following video where the guy is recommending shaving the prints with scrapers instead of sanding. Has anybody have some experience with it? I wanted to try it at least for initial processing, but I'm curious if any of you have some experience with it 🙂

Spending time sanding 3d prints is a thing of the past. Reduce your time prepping prints for paint or just prepping them by using card (or cabinet) scrapers! These little guys can quarter your time prepping 3d prints. Period.

I tried it on a test print, it does work, but it needs to be a simple model, lots of details won’t work as you end up scraping them off, also you need a print with good thick walls as otherwise you scrape too much and the walls start to fail and need patching/ filling.
It’s a method worth trying tho.

This is better for larger pieces to.
I saw that video months ago and ordered some pieces, but dont have a way to properly hold the pieces to sharpen them >.< . Vise remains unattached
Will still require sanding anyway.
Just use a power sander for things where you'd use this. Just dont let 1 area overheat and melt.

I’m about to buy the stuff in the description but it seems the mini scrapers are unavailable of the moment
