I bought some USB Mini Plug Kits years ago and have to solder the wiring to the actual plugs to make the cables. Ideally I am working on wiring harnesses for a suit. Instead of buying Minis just to cut up.

I was wondering what the power pin out was on the Power from Bank input? Being 5 Pin I don't wanna make assumptions and send power to the wrong pins.

Do you have a picture of your board?

#

Or what Mk it is

It's for Penelope mainly

So you’re “Mini usb” end is what you plug your power bank into

#

And then your “USB” is for whatever you’re powering

I get that I'm saying I have to solder the wires to that mini USB plug above

drifting stump
#

Oh! You’re trying to avoid that plug completely

#

But still want the same result

silver saffron
#

Yes

#

Which is why I asked about the pinout for the female end for the bank power input

drifting stump
#

Gotcha

#

I would maybe DM cranshark or dropwire about this

#

Especially because it’s a risk if not done properly

#

Is it not labeled on the under side of the board?

silver saffron
#

Not for the 5pin just the components legend

drifting stump
#

Yeah, I just looked at my own

#

Sorry if I wasted your time or anything, but 100% ask @rocky sorrel about this one

silver saffron
#

No worries

#

Thanks for the attempt

All I found from check with a meter is the 1st pin at the soldered stake goes to the 555 then through the resistors R2 to R1 and R3, the other side of the 555 feeds the capacitors and Q1 but I am not seeing a return pin to the power input for the completed circuit +/-.

Keep in mind I'm upside down with a solderable male Mini USB plug inserted in the bank input but this is the + that feeds the 555. But get nothing but that one with an resistance check.

#

That would be standard pinout for power input.

The entire underside of the board (Coated) is a ground plane.

#

As a side note... The 2-pin JST-XH connector is bi-directional and can be used as either a power input or power output.

thanks

Yep everything works... just gotta note to put penelope somewhere in the suit that I can get air flow, gets a little warm from sitting on nothing dramatic not like the LED heat. I planned on heat from electronics so I just gotta modify a little bit more no big deal
