Hey y’all, I’m having trouble removing these supports. I have tried so much and I’m getting sick of this, but I have to finish it. I’ve been trying to get the supports off for an hour a day for like a week and it’s not doing anything. I can’t reprint it, I don’t have very much money. Any advice?

Removing support is kinda part of the job. What kind of tool are you using to take the support off?
Doesn’t help rn but next time you can change your infill and z distance to make removal easier
Using pliers will help removing them though
I’ve been using pliers, the scrapie thingy that comes with the printer, a needle, and a flat headed screw driver
Jeez tough guys huh? Maybe a dremel or something to cut it away?
yeah it's a long and boring process but maybe try tree support next time. I love that thing and it's really easy to remove support
you can use a heat gun to soften the plastic just a tiny bit as to not Couse massive warping and they should break off a little easier
Risky but worth a try
only as a last option and very carefull
Thanks I’ll try that!
Your support settings are either set to be to close to the wall of the printed piece or density is high. It shouldn’t stick to hard to the print itself usually
Heat gun and pry. It’s gonna have jagged edges 100% you can take a torch lighter in VERY SHORT burst to those bad parts and use a razor to scrape away the remaining support layer (it’s the little cross cross pattern that adheres the support tot he print)
Next time increase your z height. Also don’t use standard supports for that.
where you get this file from
