How did it look at the primer stage? It looks to me that those bits didn’t get as much paint as the other parts, or weren’t as smooth hence the patches.

It was pretty smooth and sanded over with 600 grit right after a gloss black coat

Then either you didn’t spay it on evenly and missed those bits or it wasn’t clean and dust etc was on it. I assume it feels rough to the touch, or bumpy.
It can be fixed just depends on your time frame.
You could add another coat of gold after sanding and cleaning.
You could add a clear coat to see if that evens up the surface, then spray gold.
Or you sand it down and primer, black the gold.
