for those of you that have made a mandalorian helmet with a nice dark shine. How did u get that color? I've heard using gloss dark black and then graphite works but the graphite is very sensative and will get finger print stains easily

Graphite rub works well, I’ve heard a 2k clear coat helps keep its look
Duralumin or alumaluster also work from what I’ve heard

And Aclad Chrome

The reason I've found for the permanent fingerprint issue, since I ran into the same problem, (even wearing gloves), is that since you have to apply the graphite powder while the paint is still tacky, I usually wait an hr after I've painted to put the powder on. The paint is still soft enough take impressions. The only real thing I know to do is when I go to paint it, whatever it is I'm gonna put the powder on, it stays on it, maybe a rig you can make, or a helmet stand or something you can move. But after I put the rub on it, and the powder cures into the paint after fully drying, I get zero finger prints. It's just that delicate point for me where the paints still tacky when I go to apply the rub. Maybe waiting a touch longer before applying the powder would help with the issue, im just too paranoid that I'll miss the window for the powder to adhere the best.

Y’all, literally just spray it gloss black
Wait like 20-40 minutes
Graphite rub it and then rinse it off under the sink so there’s no more excess powder
