What tool to use to cut/trim pieces to fit better? My dremel just cuts but melts at the same time

Depending on how much training is involved I normally sand and then scrape down the edge with a craft knife

I had a piece that failed mid way so I just cut it on the computer and printed the other half but there’s about 2 inches overlap that I need to cut.
