I've finished sanding my red hood helmet and am a bit undecided on what primer to get any suggestions?
( I don't know if this makes a difference but I'm in the UK)

Check out auto extreme brand primer, you can get it online at sprayster or in home bargains stores as well as other places, I have used it and it’s cheap and covers well and never had an issue with it.
What red are you using for your red hood?

I was thinking of using that but putting gold on first

Sounds good to me, seen some great results with that and gold.
Are you thinking of clear coating it, or making it’s battle worn?

Yes the right can, but that’s a high price for it, think it’s about £3 normally from other places.
Gone up to £4.09 now but if buying more than one can you will still save with delivery. I am sure they are sold in store and I paid £3 about two weeks ago.
