Did you just update the firmware or the cables on it?
I tried to switch the cables already and the firmware is up to date
But did you do anything prior to it going in reverse?
You can change it with firmware or you can change it by swapping some wires on the cable
I tried to buy a new cable and stepper motor for the e axis but it didn’t work
What Wires should I which?
And which new firmware should I get it from? The Creality website or should it be Marlin?
This video tutorial covers how to manually wire a stepper motor to rotate in the opposite direction. This is a mandatory process if your CNC chassis utilizes a "slave" axis with two motors facing each other to keep them from fighting each other, and cancelling one another out.

This should help. I had to do it on one of mine after a firmware update
and I didn't want to tweak the firmware because it isnt my strongsuit
offhand I think it was the two middle cables needed to be inverted to get it to work
there are four cables on the wire
This video teaches how to reverse the feeding direction of an extruder by swapping the wires of a stepper motor cable that connect to one of the stepper motor coils.
this is a better video
Thanks
