#How to practise editing?

a good way to practise is to just edit a lot.
if u know the things u need for edits to look like u want to, alls good. no one knows everything, especially if they dont need it.
if ure looking to expand ur skills, ppl make all kinds of tutorials on all kinds of effects and ways to do things. browse through #📚︱tutorials for example and whenever u think "thats cool i want that", learn it^^
another good way is to watch others' edits and do the same. whenever something looks good to u, try to do it urself, and if u cant, search tutorials on it. if its a specific "how do i make this?", ask here with an example and ppl can tell u how.
one really basic thing to start practicing is audio syncing to your clips. my tip is to do the typical "beat markers", and go 1-2 keyframes after that marker. i find that doing that makes the clip look more in sync. and then once you have that down, start messing around with basic transitions like zooms, slides and rotations
Everyone has different learning styles. I’m more of a physical learner, when I first started I liked going through random tutorials on YouTube and before they would teach us how, I’d try to do it on my own. If I can’t, I watch it bit by bit and try to do the rest on my own and repeat.
You learn so much more than what these tutorials offer you if you try to do them yourselves because you’ll run across way more tools if you follow along the tutorial instead of just watching it
Get accustomed to the program before you start editing. Every new tool you learn, even if you think it’s easy, replicate it on raw footage. This way you’ll never forget how or where this tool is. Every option or tool you’re not familiar with, google it as you’re learning and replicate it as you’re practicing on raw footage
Try editing in different styles maybe to brroaden your skills.
