Jeg dj-er en gang imellem
Super high energy tune. Love the overall energy in this one.
Some suggestions for the mixdown:
Main groove elements (drums, bass, kick) are very flat and mono.
Some more gainstaging is required to get everything balanced properly.
Need to tame all the elements during the build portions of the songs, so the drops themselves hit harder. Right before the drops there should be less highs, no subs, less width, and maybe some washout. (see plugins like Calm Before). Then when the drop hits, things sound massive by comparison. Right now the pre-drop at 1:20-1:30 is going a bit harder than the drop itself.
More tension and release in the buildups will help build hype/anticipation.
Would like more prominent drums in the mix that are less mono. They're a bit quiet and all occupying the same space.
The main theme you introduce at 1:30 is really quiet. Then at the break it becomes nice and loud. This should be reversed, it should be loud and clean during the drop.
I'd remove the couple bassy synths that hit right before each drop, as they detract from the impact of the drop itself.
Sound that comes in at 2nd drop is huge! But it is masking a lot of other elements in the tune, needs to be mixed in better. Some subtractive EQ and more sidechain could help.
Hope this helps
I'd start by finding a good reference tune and try and match its overall levels.
