@neon iron i agree with the above. The reason its not hitting loud / hard enough is because the track isn't mixed loud enough to a commercial level. Need more loudness built into the mix via saturation/clipping and sound selection. Also it needs more tension and release in the buildups so that the drop gets more impactful as a result. This means more transition sounds such as risers, noise, snare builds, etc... as well as production techniques to make the drop sound out (cutting lows, highs, width, volume and then giving it all back at the drop - see the "Calm Before" plugin as an example)
Would like to see some more variation in the final drop so it doesn't sound like its just been copied and pasted from earlier. Some ear candy and white noise right at the drop could help.
Would like to see more evolution of drums throughout the track - its the same loop throughout pretty much. Extra hats, claps, rim shots, rides, drum fills, bongos, toms, etc...
Find a solid reference and use the reference to help you set levels and i think that will help bring things up to commercial volume.
Just updated the track, added/cut stuff for variation, changed the vocal on each drop and also did a quick mix & master. Should be better now right? 😎 Also thanks alot for taking the time to give feedback, it means alot to me!
