Hey @valid burrow The track doesn't have any real width, so everything is pushed to the centre which means a lot of frequencies are fighting against each other. Does you bass line drop lower than 40Hz? If so, you'd need to cut these out as most system's won't be able to reproduce them.
Clearing some space in the track will also allow the other elements, including the vocal to shine through more. As for the vocal, as a backing elements rather than a focal element it works quite well overall. It's got potential for sure
