#fisher - atmosphere remix

vocal needs to be higher in the mix, and theres too much reverb on the vocals
the drums need some more work and need alot more to it
but ideas there its cool
I actually did this last night, was ready to save and go to bed and then FL crashed 😂 so I need to do that again
I fixed all those reverb issues before it crashed, all gone
full song demo now, looking for advice now on what can be altered, but since it is just a remix I wont spend much longer on this
Sidenote: the drop noise has a kickstart on 1/8 in this render, it should be 1/4 so that’s fixed, probably did that by accident
the intro has to be longer and the big synth string n atmosphere stuff gotta fade in or come in a better way, just do the basic intro of drums then kick the bass in for 32 bars, and then u can add the atmosphere stuff in somehow or start fading them in 8 bars after the bass gets kicked in maybe, get rid of the sidechain in the breakdown on everything, the vocal, strings etc, the build also needs more maybe try high passing the track and turning down the some of the big breakdown elements, too much noise on the drop makes it sound a bit cheap just turn it down a bit, vocals could still be higher in the mix and louder, u got like a synth that starts on the build and then gets looped and played for 8 bars on the drop in the background get rid of that because it gets rid of the impact of the drop. getting better tho i like it
Ayee thanks for going so indepth on what i can do with it, helps alot, i wanna finish 3-4 demos for showcasing during ADE so there is quite a tight time limit. I was wondering what you thought of the synth chords, some say the third and fourth chord is out of key (in version 3) so I tried to fix that for v4, if I hear the chords on its own with my studio headphones they sound fine but listening on phone speakers they still sound weird and idk what is causing that
They sound alright imo if u think they need some tweaking just go and move a few notes around maybe
@small mica
If you compare v3 to v4 you can hear I added 2 higher notes on the last 2 chords which does seem to help
@warm girder @twin trail not the best master currently but track is as good as mixed and finished
There are still some minor mixing issues I could iron out but I really need more producing experience to solve such issues, I’d say this is as far as my skills take me right now
1st add the bassline at 30secs, 2nd if u think like that you never gonna get better
I’ve already learnt alot from this project and am taking all that stuff with me for my next one, but the release date for this remix is in a few days
V7, improved vocals, minor mixing and bassline tweaks. Fixed the chords being off key for the 3rd buildup. problem I'm struggling with currently is that the drops sound A. a bit repetitive, B. dull
@warm girder
Super cool remix, definitely could do with a different kick though, current one is basically a click lol
make the chords start fading in at the 30 and use the bass line that u use on the drop, at 30 secs get rid of the vocals aswell.
n then u can add the vocals back at 45secs
also agree with rafa needs bigger kick
