I have a 5070ti and I went in and cranked up the settings to epic. When I changed the FOV it elooooongated the view lol. it was very funky. Also the quality did not seem to be where I would expect it to be. I ended up hitting the "auto" settings (I cannot remember what the button was called).
System:
MB: Tuf z690-Plus
Proc:Corei5-12600KF
Mem:Corsair Vengence 32GB (2x16) DDR54800 (PC% 38400)
Vid:TUF 5070ti 16gb
HD: Corsair MP600 PRO 2tb Gen4

Any thoughts or recommended settings I would appreciate!

So I am sure others will be as well, I am confused. You have the latest and greatest and do not see what you expect out of a game that is 5yrs old? Does not matter what you through out of it the game is still quite old.

Make sure you turned on Ray Tracing as setting to Epic I don’t think enables those settings by default

Also assume you’re running at 1440p or 4K?

For some reason the "default" reset or the button that sets recommended settings put all the settings at low. When I went in and set to epic, exit then go back in, things look as I expect them to, for a 5 year old game.

Additionally, I could not change any of the dlss settings or the ray tracing settings. The options were greyed out?

I dont have a monitor with that high of a resolution. Def not 4k or even 1440.

Ok so it sounds like if I set to epic, that is why those settings are greyed out?

Why o why do you have a 5070ti but not a decent monitor? The reason it looks bad is most likely the resolution you’re running at, same 1080p? Go get a decent 1440p gaming monitor please 🙏

meh it looks fine once I fixed the settings. I did not realize they reverted to low quality. I am actually not sure what the resolution is. I would love a better monitor, just not in the cards at the moment. I am totally happy with what I have.

You could increase the resolution scale. Like render at 4K on FullHD monitor. This should emulate higher resolutions and in theory provide better looks.

I play at epic settins on 4K monitor and I feel graphics are quite nice even for a 5 year old game running on unreal 4.

Thanks for the tip! I upgraded the entire system. The last pieces are QOL upgrades, like monitor keyboard and mouse etc...but im a casual player and work full time. So those are lower priorities.

I am not that far yet. Still running around mining iron like a mad man. Always need more nails!!!

But I am not experiancing any stutter. Going to nvme drives made a world of difference on game launches and game play. Went from spinning to nvme. Massive difference.
