#Blue foundation

Blue means directly connected to ground. Anything that's not in the ground or a rock face will not be blue
but i have been able to make my walls blue with the same foundation. But other walls will be yellow without change in elevation
This means the walls clip into the ground/rock wall. Blue means that, if you took away every building piece in the vicinity, it would still stand
ok, ok, so i need to stop being anal about gettting everything blue. But the yellow wall connected to the foundation on the firs? Shouldnt it be green at most?
Dirt foundation and wood walls doesn't sound like a particularly stable combination. If you are using beams, make sure the beams extend into the ground and are continuous up to the piece you want to support
yep put beams down and dirt foundation down. but some walls will be blue and others yellow, though they are right next to each other, and on the same foundation.
As I explained, blue is unrelated to the beams or the foundation. It means the wall is self-supported (by the terrain). The terrain around the other wall does not clip into it, hence no support
Find a wall that's blue, and remove every building piece that's touching it. The wall will still stand
right but shouldnt a wall be green on the first floor when connected to a foundation, not yellow?
No, the dirt foundation and wood wall likely loses a lot of support immediately because of the materials used. In any case, this is not a tech support issue, but rather understanding of the game.
